Solution Analysis
The Solution Analysis Process begins with a Pursuit Team Kickoff Meeting,
in which the scope of the request is defined. Grayhill's Proposal Process
uses a comprehensive approach to ensure successful implementation. Our
objective is to provide an authoritative technical solution and reliable
pricing.
We use a cross-functional team approach to ensure all angles have been
covered. This Pursuit Team is drawn from hands-on specialists. Teams typically
comprise of the Account Manager, a Proposal Developer, Software, Electrical,
Mechanical, Production and Quality Engineers, a Project Manager and Purchasing.
The Account Manager and Proposal Developer work closely in steering the
Pursuit Team through the process of meeting and exceeding the customer's
expectations. By employing a multi-disciplinary approach we are able to
respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
The team reviews the overall project, product specifications, and marketing
requirements and through technical discussions, the team explores conceptual
solutions to the project. Initially, a technical outline is produced,
identifying milestones and deliverables for each phase of the project
- Concept, Design, Qualification and Production. Costs and lead times
are provided to obtain the best-priced solution and the most efficient
approach. Once the Proposal Developer collects and presents the information
in a formal document, the team carries out a final review in a group setting.
The proposal is then ready to submit to the customer.
